Independence Community College is proud to recognize Keeley Brown as the January Student of the Month. Brown was honored during the January Board of Trustees Meeting for her outstanding dedication, leadership, and positive impact on campus and in the community.
Brown was nominated by Coach Lehocky, who praised her commitment both in the classroom and as a student-athlete. In addition to maintaining a strong GPA, Keeley actively supports Eisenhower Elementary School and participates in all aspects of the volleyball program, including practices, study hall, community service projects, and fundraising efforts.
“Keeley goes above and beyond in everything she does,” Coach Lehocky shared in the nomination. “She is someone we can always rely on for volleyball-related activities, whether it’s practices, study hall, community service, or fundraising events. Keeley consistently shows up with a great attitude and a smile, and she brings positive energy to everyone around her. Her dedication, work ethic, and willingness to help make her an invaluable part of our team and our Pirate community.”
David Adams, Vice President of Student Affairs, also recognized Brown’s impact on campus.
“Keeley represents the very best of Independence Community College,” Adams said. “Her dedication to academics, athletics, and community service shows the kind of leadership and character we strive to cultivate in our students.”
Keeley’s strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to serving others reflect the values of Independence Community College and the Pirate community.
